MEDIA RELEASE
Video Clip Competition
for immediate release
'Naked in the Light' with Jeff Cashen
Sydney based singer songwriter Jeff Cashen is on the look out for a girl. A girl that is, to feature with him in a new video clip being shot for the single 'Naked in the Light'.
Jeff has just come off the back of a successful East Coast Tour taking in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, showcasing his new album 'Threads'.
Next on the agenda to help promote the new album is a video clip, which will be shot and edited by award winning Sydney film director Luke Eve, who shot Jeff's previous live studio clip 'Slow Rising Water'. Luke was also the winner of Tropfest 2005, operates his own successful production company called 'More Sauce' and has worked with the likes of Darren Hanlon and Muzzy Pep.
The clip will feature on Jeff's Myspace page, and will be used as a promotional tool for the new album 'Threads'. Jeff will be shooting the clip with Luke on Wednesday evening July 25 in Sydney.
To be in the running to feature in the video clip, the potential person must : be over 18 years of age, tell us in 25 words or less why they would be the best person for the clip, be available for an all night shoot starting at 9pm on July 25, and must also email a clear full length photograph of themselves (in jpeg format). The winner will receive a free 'make over' for the clip, a copy of the album 'Threads', a copy of the final edited clip, and of-course, the excitement of featuring in the clip itself. Confidence in front of a camera will certainly be helpful.
Those wishing to apply should do so via Jeffs Myspace page 'send a message' or email info@jeffcashen.com
Entries close this friday July 20.

22 June 2007 - Full House at The Vanguard
Jeff and the guys played their first Sydney Launch last Tuesday at The Vanguard. Despite the atrocious weather outside, plenty of Sydney folks braved the rain and turned up to hear Jeff launch 'Threads'. Well, what can i say: the place was packed and the gig went 'off'. With some excellent supports from Sarah Bird and Patrick Carr, Jeff and his band gave a superb performance, grooving and gliding through the set list without a hitch, showing us just why adult contemporary is still 'happening'. Thanks to all those people who came along and made the night such a success. We hope to see you all again real soon and hope you got home safely. More shows in the pipeline.

18 June 2007 - Melb Gig report

You must catch the gig in Sydney or Brisbane if you can. Hope to see you again soon. The journey has begun.
